Preng Boots, your are right, the brassback is very rare. I crossed the Brassback Black Butcher to a brassback Boston RH, and produced 2 stags only (late hatched) and they came out red. I am going to breed back the stag to the mother and see if they will produce more brassbacks at 3/4. I did not have a pullet from the mating, and so I do not have the option to breed back to the Butcher side.

Just like you said, I like showing the same family of battlefowls (brothers) and color in a derby. Good luck - Ed

Yap I tried LDT Boston brassback hen to LDT Boston Brassback broodstag but only throwing reds.Now we track which pens of Boston RH throwing Brassback hopefully can produce more.

Boots, my brassback Black Butcher produces almost all brassback black. Apparently, the old breeder had the brassbacks black Butcher for over 40 years. And, so those breeders before had taken the years to discover the ones that were throwing brassbacks and bred them to each other until all were throwing brassbacks.

As I said before, my plan is to fight all brassbacks in a derby.

Good luck to us and our breeder friends who have the same plan in mind.

Salamat but I love more my mangoes and pigs than my roosters.Sabong libangan lang natin really nakakatanggal ng stress now they're growing at 4.5 years old already I planted also Rambutans,Mangostene,Lansonez,Pomelo,Dwarft Coconuts and more than 100 Durians but only 60+ survives mahilig kasi si Misis sa prutas
