Zamboanga White was bred by mother nature herself--hatched, out of the bosoms of her mountain, of exotic Zamboanga's.
Boy Primallion was a poor man, and she had chosen this poor man to take care of her precious breed--for a reason, perhaps, only a mother knew best. Why she had chosen the color of white, of all colors, which, then, in the eyes of the cockfighting world, had symbolized the color of blood---of defeat, and of what we eat, again, only our mother nature knew best. Zamboanga White was a breed perfected by nature herself---the mother of all breeders, perhaps, to teach us a lesson or two. One is to teach us respect: Respect for a dunghill. The most vilified and most crucified of her creatures, its blood, splattered all over the cockpits, and inside our kitchens, had cried for justice, and she had heard those cries. Man must be punished--those who looked down and trampled on her beloved dunghills. For what our mother nature had seen and felt, was the height of human ingrate's. She must have felt wounded if not insulted, for she had bred the dunghills, too. Man forgets easily and this time he must remember what he must not forget. That a dunghill was meant for something beautiful, and not just for our greedy apetite, but for something greater than our stomach: The cockfighting world Mother nature had therefore chosen a poor man to teach the rich man what losing to a dunghill means; that a dunghilled chicken could make a "dung" of his money; that cockfighting supremacy should not only be ruled by the most expensive cocks, but, sometimes, by the most inexpensive cocks. Zamboanga White was a dunghill perfected by nature, a mother's gift to a poor man, whom she had chosen to best teach the rich man, to deliver her most telling message, that she remains, the mother of all breeders. That there's no such thing as a "dung" among her creations, that what was a "dung" in the eyes of the moneyed, the kind which their money would not even priced, was to our mother nature, a priceless piece of art, meant to make a masterpiece of; the eyes of man, mother nature seemed to have chastised, could be very deceiving. To make something beautiful out of the ugly, perhaps, was the second thing mother nature had wanted to teach us. That the breeder's "vocation" is for him to create his own work of art, and not to imitate, and borrow somebody's masterpiece, a breeder ought to be an artist, too. So it is no easy imitating mother nature in her works of art. For the science of man for all its genius in genetics does not even compare to her idea of beauty. In fact, man often destroys what she has created beautifully--earning for him the ire of mother nature herself. So it sometimes compels her to send us a strong message, "if you can't make something beautiful of the ugly, at least, don't destroy them." But when her message fell on deaf ears, she had to make the bearer of her message at least commanding of our attention: Zamboanga White The color of white took the cockfighting world by surprise. As it whipped the most feared of all reds and greys ruling the planet of cockfighters--the blood they expected to see covering the whiteness of this white-colored dunghill, instead flowed out from their once fearsomed warriors, expiring unceremoniously, decimated. Mother nature was pleased to see justice done: Swift and deliberate For seven years Zamboanga White had captured the imagination of men--the "myth" created out of a "chicken meat," that used to rule our dining table; but then the table had been turned, the "myth" in flesh and blood, was to become the legend of the Zamboanga White. Now whoever will claim to be better than mother nature, herself, as a breeder, wait for another of her strong message, nay, the new bearer of this message; what kind of an unexpected color she will choose again to deliver the most compelling of her message; that will catch us offguard, most especially, those popularly bloodlined cockfighters? roosterman hello !!!
where do you get your information lol !!!! the whites were never a dunghill they were a nick , a throw back from the original red bought from bren palmares... I think what you mean is ::: that the color WHITE was never a favorite of pilipino cockers which is true... but , after the fantastic showing of jun cuellos' white, it became a favorite and most sought after fowl in the philippines which is again very true. although, they did not look as good as a sweater , what with their broom stick tail feathers (walis ting-ting tail) but the body is very well balanced and in perfect comformity to its tail. another thing my friend totoy dela cruz has always told me that the whites were enchanted fowls... a toy of the gods in olympus. and that when the gods felt that boy P. was already wealthy enough, they took it back to olympus... I hope this is what you want to say. but to say that the zamboangas were dunghill... I do not think so. |

Roosterman, what is this prediliction with verbose and long winding statements? Are you a frustrated writer? As the saying goes, the shortest way between two points is a straight line, so please please don't go around in circles. Nakakahilo ka eh....

Gallos Locos, How are you, partner? I've been missing you a lot, but thanks for your time, even if you're too busy with your business. Been concerned lately with your privacy? Just delete the word "businessman" from your own profile, for that's where I saw it. And by the way, I still owe you a big apology, I am sorry for having compared you with a communist, I did not mean it. I was just attacking their main ideology. Rooster Man |

Golden Dragon, Don't worry this is not an official statement coming from Boy Primallion. This is just a "myth" taken out of the "chicken meat," just to whet your apetite for the dunghilled chicken. Besides, ZW is too perfect of a dunghill to be mistaken for one, this is just one secret to "throwback" those unbelievers. Mother nature creates myths and legends in the minds of men, and enshrouds it under the secrecy of the unthinkables--because men always thinks of a way to imitate, not to originate. Bam, Fortunately, I am not a writer. If I were, I would really feel frustrated to read your comment. There you are right. For real writers are more idea-oriented, not personality-oriented. Thanks for your compliment. Rooster Man [This message has been edited by Rooster Man (edited 03-03-2002).] |

king gerard the pleasure was all mine....
that kita-kits was very memorble something for the books, the food was great, the people fantastic...
sayang I did not know you love whites too... what kind of whites do you have ? if you remember I fielded 4 entries sa durings even though they were only 13-14 months old and fighting with older cocks...sayang yon natalo dahil nakatuka lang ang kalaban.. that is why it is wise to fight only aged cocks. the two that won with no scratch were combination of andy millers' sweater and white zambo hen. I will be doing this combination again I was very pleased with them. I was preparing a white to fight at San Mateo this saturday but nakawala this morning so cancelled ang fight niya nakipagbakbakn ayon maga ang mukha. but I will be fielding 3 others zambo red, zambo grey & zambo black. sana manalo. YOU are most welcome to visit me and my farm next time you are here si ka lando at si eric lang kasi ang mahal ninyo :wink2: here is my cell # 0916-706-6864 |

WHITE BIRDS
Hello to ALL!
just passing through am from California, thought it was a delight to read about the ZW and all the comments, unfortunately i have never seen on in person...missed that era when they dominated the pits back home. I am an avid fan of whites however and do appreciate the great ones! Hats off to anyone having any white birds out there! i too have had my own line of roundheads infused with thompson years back and occasionaly throw a white one now and then, these are precious to me and have had my own line of "lacy roundheads" over the years the cockers and fanciers refer to them as white roundheads, i've had them now for 16 years and have done very well. A lot of people know me here in southern cali.....under chit chat SOUTHERN CALIFORNIA BARANGAY THREAD. just had a show of them not too long ago and did well. nice to visit your CHAT again HATS OFF TO ALL THAT HAVE THE WHITE BIRDS! sometimes you have to be game yourself to show your birds lol!!! just make sure they price! true to the sport, "malloy" |

The Zambo White hens that I have are peacomb, the cock was very low stationed and is straight comb. The original hens legs are deep yellow as with the beak. But i preffered the 3rd generation of hens that has a lighter yellow colored legs and white beak.
We fought the cock because it did not suit our taste, it won four times before he was brought to the brood pens, we realized he has indeed the potential to be a broodcock inspite of his being low stationed. He produced medium to high stationed stags. We were left only with the hens when a freak flood killed the broodcock. We were able to breed them with several bloodlines, the most outstanding was breeding them with our Dan Gray Roundheads--White with streaks of redish accents and with our Greys--White without the red feather streaks. We were able to produce a better looking gamecock if compared with the original whites. The matings with the Dan Gray's produced gamer and are more athletic/ stylish. The mating with the Grey (Scout Ranger line) cock produced the same style of offspring but with brute power. The closed family matings we did produced ugly whites that look like dunghills but has superb cutting accuracy. A sample pic of the seedfowls in the yard of my uncle. I'll be breeding some whites again this comming season, hopefully I can produce some for pit action....after 2 years maybe. @Auntie paki silip ulit sa email yun activation link. ![]() BPZKId!!! :rbounce: Can't wait to see the Zambo Whites back in action. ![]() |

hello jonjie88 ako naman princess88
mukhang number 8 din ang favorite mo. that news is very nice to hear... kasi ang detractors ng zambo white sabi laos na daw.. pero maski minsan hindi ako naniwala doon. nagpatuloy pa din ako , breed pa din ng breed.... see now, there are a lot of people still interested in them. a breeder might go down due to illness or other problems but the fowls they have created never ever will be laos. that holds true with the lemons too... paeng araneta may no longer have the line but those that kept it still have it up to now and still doing good with it. not THOMPSON but THOMASON.... unfortunately, I've been looking for years now for this breed THOMASON but to no avail. the line was supposed to have been very famous in the 50s so it must be gone now. CHEERS to all white fowls lover doesn't matter what bloodline basta't puti welcome to the club. |
