Mindanao breeders hold qualifiers

THE MINDANAO Gamefowl Breeders Association will hold its 3-stag qualifying round today and on Thursday to determine the Migba's representatives to the Bakbakan 2003 championship set Nov. 22, 24 and 26 at the Araneta Coliseum. With the most number of stags banded this year-39,000 out of the 150,000 from among member associations of the National Federation of Gamefowl Breeders-Migba will hold 80-plus qualifying matches at the Davao Matina Gallera in Davao City starting at 4 p.m. The group is headed by its chairman, Arthur Uy, and president Nitoy Nasser, who will be featured in this morning's Thunderbird Balitang-Bakbakan portion of the "Hataw" program of Deo Macalma and Ruth Abao-Espinosa over DZRH 666 AM between 9 and 9:30 a.m. The show is sponsored by Enertone Ready-Mixed Concentrate.
