San Pablo Heat stagfest today

BIG-TIME cockers are vying in the San Pablo Heat 4-Stag Derby starting at 6 p.m. today at the Roligon Mega Cockpit with 62 fights on tap. Hosting the event are San Pablo City cocker Blandy Tolentino, a regular fixture in Ucap and NCA derbies, and Renato Shio. Heading the list of favorites are Sonny Lagon, Patrick Antonio, Ram Lopez, hotelier Biboy Enriquez, Ucap president Raymond Velayo, LGBA president Boy Diaz, Jun Sevilla, Pol Estrellado, Joey and Buboy delos Santos, Boy de Roca, Jun Topacio, Maj. Bobby Doromal, Lito Orillaza, Vice Mayor Nestor Mercado and Rudy Salud. Meanwhile, Palawan sportsman Mauro Prieto emerged as solo champion in a field of 86 entries in last week's 1st LGBA 7-Stag Derby after his entry, Anito, posted a perfect score of seven points. Runner-up finishers with six points each were Eddie Lee (Super Warrior), Benjie Lim (Banahaw I), Jess de Vera (BBC Jaf) and Boy Camilla (BMJ).
