La Loma 4-cock derby set Dec. 16

PREPARATIONS are under way for the staging of La Loma Cockpit Arena's 4-Cock Derby on Dec. 16, to be hosted by promoter Bebot Yu. For an entry fee of P11,000, the guaranteed prize at stake is P300,000, said Yu, who also hosted LLCA's 4-cock event last year which attracted 57 entries. The winning handler and gaffer will get P30,000 and P20,000, respectively. With more than 100 fights expected, the derby will start promptly at 3 p.m. For inquiries, call 740-7398, 740-2136 and 740-7392. Submission of weights is on Dec. 15, from 4 p.m. to 9 p.m., and on the day of the derby, from 5 a.m. to 11 a.m. LLCA's regular hackfights are scheduled every Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday.
