Carrying box plans

Hello,

Wanted to make some carry boxes out of plywood and looking for some plans/measurements for the Filipino style single carrier.

Is it something like this, I believe it's easy to do if you have the time. Or else just buy those cheap carton box or corrugated plastic box.

Yes thats the one! Thanks for the drawing. how wide is the top board that the handle attaches to?

top board is 4 inches, but the hinges and lock are opposite of the drawing. hinges go on the bottom, lock goes on the top.

I started making one today with some extra plywood I had lying around. I made the top, bottom and sides already. I attached the handle and put some ventilation holes on the sides with screen on the inside of the holes.

I painted it already, just need to get some material for the door and walls, hinges and locks. Is formica ok for the walls? or 1/8th plywood?

Thats a beauty of a box. clever way of making a door, but I would be losing the door if it wasnt attached.

check the thread about " transporting roosters", in there should give you some ideas about carrying boxes. also, slip makes and has some very nice ones. hope this helps.
