Hi, I would like to officially announce that Sabong.net.PH is proudly producing a film about cockfighting.

It's called “Sabungero” or in English “The Cockfighter.”

It's a movie that is devoted to cockfighting.

It stars Joel Torre as the “Sabungero” along with Maritoni Fernandez, Leo Marinez, Ricky Davao, Sid Lucero, Robert Arevalo, Noni Buencamino, Edwin Nombre and Lesley Martinez.

It's a very good line-up And the story is great too

The crew are all first time movie makers, myself included, so it will be an interesting take on things.

We are aiming for a July release to coincide with the Cinemalaya Film Festival on July 17-27.

So this movie is for all of us “sabungeros” and we hope you will enjoy it.

Plot: An ordinary man blessed with the uncanny gift of breeding,

everything back in order. Will he succeed?
