San Jose
PitMastersKid is based on San Jose. He has the facility to take care of your birds eg. fly pens, tie cords, etc. A lot of our friends in this site had shipped through him and were very much satisfied. The last news that I recieved was a few days ago and the next shipment will be on Oct. 19, 2003. Pls. contact him at pitmasterskid@aol.com

What is the magic of shipping fowls? I think you have to have an importation permit to ship fowls. These fowls needs health certificate from a veterinarian that they don't carry any diseases. You have an airline that will ship them for you (is it by weight, volume or what?). The shipping boxes need to be made of light wood? But I guess you have to have the right contact at the entry point (custom's official friend or partner). How much taxes will you pay per bird (pesos or dollars). I guess this is the trade secret. I think the Philippine government will generate more income if they make this information available on the internet. I remember a friend who ship fowls with all the necessary paper work but what he did not understand was the airline he shipped the fowls with makes stopped over in Japan and the Japanese government don't allow it to be shipped to the Philippines. The fowls were shipped back to the States. What a costly outcome. He never tell the story but I found out about it later on. It's still cheaper then if you can avail of a broker. Remember this is business and the only way to survive is to make a profit.

Pre Camarines, I agree with you. What we will be thinking as cheap realistically is not cheap after dealing with the hassle of getting your chickens out of the customs area when we arrive at the Philippine airport especially with the honest, hardworking ordinary Pinoys like us whose purpose is at least have a decent breeding bought by our own decent, hard earned money.

Whats the arangement?
Hi guys,
Just a newbie question, whats the arrangement if the fowls will be shipped through a broker like serge capistrano? how much do they usally charge? Do I have to pay them separately from the payment for the fowls? Or do ther already have commision from the breeder? Thanks in advance for the information |
