Might promote a 4-cock derby in our town of Banate, Iloilo if my plan of going home for the Candelaria derby next year will push through. Target date is Jan. 28, a day before the start of the big derby. Wondering if the CF's could field an entry if this will materialize? Proceeds will help the development of Chess and Billards in Banate and its neighboring towns.

Started the project last year by buying more than 30 chessboards wherein some were distributed to the baranggays and bought 4 chessclocks also. Most of the funds were donated by fellow cf's and many other people that I met at the internet. Conducted the first team tournament last Dec. and it was participated by 6 teams from different baranggays. Total prizes given was 10,000.00 pesos.

Other chess tournaments planned for this coming Dec. are the second baranggay team tournament and then followed by an invitational team tournament. A team from Capiz financed by CF Pinolim and also a team from Dumangas, a town in Iloilo with also a CF financer, Felisa, were invited to participate. There will also be a billiards tournament exclusively for Banate residents only.

Ang maliit nating maibigay sa mga kababayan natin doon ay napakalaki na para sa kanila kaya sana tayong lahat ay hindi magsasawa sa pagbibigay ng ating makakayanang tulong.
