Good day to you doc.
I have an ace cock that i intended to breed to several hens. I do not put the hens together as they always end up fighting each other just like humans females do if they shared a husband. What i do is to introduced the hen to the cock and he will mount her therafter. I would first put a plastic sheet to collect any sperm spilled by the cock using a feather and place it at the cloaca ( i hope i spelt that correctly) of the hen.
My question is how frequent should i do this in order for all the eggs to get fertilised?
Is twice a week enough? When sould the mating start? A week before the hen lays its egg? and when sould the mating stop? After the 5th egg or what? What if u mated the hen after its first egg was laid, will the susequent egg be fertilised? ( Say egg no. 2)

To make things simplier....One mating is good for 72 hours.
