does anyone know of anyone in the philippines who fights these types of fowl?
i was thinking of the benefits of rasing and fighting smaller birds .you need less space, less feed ,and basically they do the same thing they like to fight for there territory and hens.this coming january i will try and bring some eggs for my dad .it would be nice if we had a exclusive club that sponsored derbys for bantams/minature gamefowl.maybe we should start up a club?what do you guys think?it was just a thought.besides the minature fowl is ideal for city people who live for exampl in manila and quezon city who don't have those big back yards.hoping to hear from everyones ideas.take it easy bukol |

bukol,
I took care of some in my backyard a awhile back. They are cute and interesting. The crow is funny and they are game. I don't know with steel though. But this bantam I had had no qualms about fighting his neighboring, regular sized rooster. I let them at it for a while thinking that the bantam would run, but it looked like he was going to kill himself fighting this "giant." I had to stop it. And after I separated them, the little bugger crowed with pride thinking he had won the fight http://www.sabong.com.ph/UbbNonCgi/smile.gif The hens are also good at laying and hatching mine had a clutch of 9 eggs... she hatched 8. There is a fellow here, i forget his name, that breeds bantams exclusively. He exports them to the US. Apparently there is a big bantam fighting scene in Tennesse. OK, Thanks. |

bukol,
Forgot... You live in the East Bay right? There is a breeder in Oakland. I can get you his name if you want. Cheers. |

I am starting a gamefowl farm of bantams. I have a few and train and condition them like a regular sized gamefowl. They are easier to handle and to take care of but the do the same as regular fowls. They even fight the same way.
