insects for our birds

doc teddy,

you always say that feeding and conditioning our birds the natural way is the best.is it possible to give our birds insects like grasshoppers,termites, crickets and others.if so
what nutrients could we derive from them.how about the quantity we give them to avoid overfeed (malnutrition.

Giving insects during the developmental stage would boost their system because they get unidentified growth factors from them.
Some time back...... I had a particular batch of lemon 84s that had an adequate source of live termites and was fed almost evey other day..... for more than 2 months.... grew up to be an excetiopnal batch. I observed that there was never a history of them that got sick.
These are the unidentified growth factors when they are in the range.
