doc, what's the difference...
doc,
maybe you can help me 'bout the pro's and cons between red trigo and yellow trigo? i heard red (wheat) trigo is good for your birds, but the red is kinda unavailable in our location. I'm planning on using the yellow trigo instead but don't know what effect it would do to my birds. And, if you think its ok to use the yellow trigo, how much can you use as part of your maintenance feed? |

Re: doc, what's the difference...
I prefer to give Red Trigo (red wheat) instead of the white trigo (yellow) because it is more palatable and easier to digest compared to white trigo.
I have observed that giving white trigo....makes their droppings more on the shade of green which I consider, a bad sign. It is worthy to note that a perfect dropping should be brownish to grayish in color with a little "whip cream" on the side. This is the result I achieve when I use Red Trigo. Trigo when given soaked, promotes proper chest development. Last edited by tjtcokngacademy : July 19th, 2007 at 10:27 PM. |
