baytril
hey doc i got a question pertaining to baytril. is it true that u cant use it to muich on the same bird cause thier bodies some how get immune to it. if this is so wat would happen if we up the dose during each injection. this is wat a vet told me. he said it is a great antibiotic but the only down fall of it is that the birds seem to build up a tolerance to it.

Re: baytril
The frequent use of a specific antibiotic will lose its effectivity. It is a good medical practice to shift to another kind of antibiotic to prevent drug resistance.
Increasing the dose is not the solution. Although I would agree that Baytril is a good antibiotic and I won’t abuse it so that I can use it whenever it is indicated. Last edited by tjtcokngacademy : July 19th, 2007 at 11:28 PM. |
