Spraying Mango Trees could affect the birds?
Doc,
As above query, is that harmfull to do this in the farm? We need the mango trees to be sprayed during the season, In order to produce more fruits. How does the medicines affects the gamefowl nearby/underneath. Thanks... Jess |

Spraying Mango Trees
If you are spraying the trees for them to flower and eventually bear fruit, the chemicals used for this purpose will not affect your birds.
But, if you are spraying insecticide/pesticide to protect the fruit, then precautionary measures should be taken. It is best to sectionalize your spraying. Before spraying one section, remove the birds in that particular area and turn the clay pots upside down. After an hour, you can put back the chickens in that area after inspecting if there are some dead insects that they can peck. Last edited by tjtcokngacademy : June 19th, 2007 at 09:16 PM. |
