sahodero,pagtinanggal mo ang tela matatangal din yung dried tissue o lungab sa loob depende sa laki ng tibak kung malaki ang tibak malaki rin ang butas na mabubuo.lagyan ulit ng rugby at takpan uli ng tela you will be surprised parang hindi nagkatibak.mas maganda ang resulta habang maliit pa ang tibak o nag uumpisa palang lagyan kaagad ng rugby.bago ko makalimutan yung butas na nabuo bago mo ulit lagyan ng rugby lagyan mo muna ng tincture of iodine o kaya gentian violet.i have done a lot of experiments about tibak before from injecting antibiotics to surgery but the best is rugby.subukan mo lang no harm in trying.

Bumblefoot/Tibak is a bruise on the rooster's footpad and this is due to being overweight and is aggravated by frequent jumping on a hard packed ground from a high roost.
The best remedy is "Cryosurgery" ... and this is done by putting dry ice on the swollen footpad. But dry ice is no longer available.

"Staphylococcus aureus" is a gram positive bacteria being sensitive to Streptomycin ang Penicillin. Being an anaerobic bacteria, it invades the foot pad and with that in mind..Sealing the entire footpad will not allow the bacteria to survive. This is done by applying a synthetic (rubber) sealant to the swollen footpad and then, covering it with a bandage and an adhesive tape (Leukoplast) to ensure protection. After a day, you can inject .5 cc of Penicillin or Streptopen injectable. Results can be seen after 2 months.
To prevent this:
1) A low roost should be provided.
2) They should always be placed on a soft ground.
3) Limit his weight.

Good Day to all Sabongeros,I'm a new member on this thread and a neophyte of gamefowl .May manok rin akong may tibak,Doc TJT,my understanding of anearobic bacteria is an active bacteria that could survive in the absence of free oxygen.
I'm just confuse,kung bakit tinatakpan natin ang foot pad with sealant?if no air will be present how come the bacteria would be killed?di ba anaerobic?dapat eh,lalong lumala ang tibak.But to tell you frankly,your advised and advised from our fellow sabongeros responds to the treatment of the injury.Thanks a lot.I'm grateful I've joined and read this thread.It helps me a lot. Here's my sad story about tibak.One time we undergone surgery of tibak in one of my rooster,we removed the cheese-like meat in the footpad.But unfortunately,instead waiting of the wound to heal,the bone leg diminished.Nagparang abondoned snake-skin ang paa ng manok.Di na makatindig pero malakas pa ring kumain.Sayang talaga pero naging pulutan nalang namin yung konam. Nagkamali kami sa pag-aaruga sa sugat sa paa ng manok.Nagka-infection kaya lalong lumala.My problem of tibak has been quite long ago,I'm very thankful when I read this thread.After learning your advised,the treatment respond to my need.I also regularly disinfect the floor of my coop and put a cock shoe on my konam.Thanks a lot again.More power.

doc tjt is referring to an AEROBIC BACTERIA(needs free oxygen) he was not referring to an ANAEROBIC BACTERIA(does not need free oxygen)
