TJT Cocking Academy: June 7, 8 & 9

After going through the monthly medication program during their growing stage (first 5 months)... comes the monthly flushing program to maintain a "disease free" system----This is what you call BACTERIAL Flushing or commonly called ANTIBIOTIC Flushing. I recommend that you do this on a monthly basis (one dose) to cleanse their system of microbes or bacteria.
It would be improper for me, to suggest a medicine for your bacterial flushing without a background-check on the previous medicines you have given your flock.
I would like to invite you to join the academy this coming June 7, 8 & 9 and maybe we can come up with a good working medication program for your farm. See you there, amigo!

Thanks doc... very unlucky for me not to be able to attend your cocking seminar here in Cebu City last May 25, 26 and 27... Doc, i can make arrangement for you to hold your seminar in southern part of leyte.. that is, if you're interested? My kompadre, owner of Villa Teresita Resort, also owns a cockpit in Leyte... Lot of my barkadas and cockers in leyte are asking me if there still some seminars to be held here in Cebu... Imagine the fare and hotel accomodation that they're going to spend just to attend any cocking seminar.. We are really interested to atterd... Lakpue Drugs Group conducted a seminar in leyte last year but it was more of product introduction than educational... Thanks again...

jomari pua
Doing a seminar outside my academy is not comparable to what i do in my homeground, simply because of logistics... wherein it is only conducted in a resort or hotel.
In TJT cocking academy (RHAMM GAMEFARM , Alfonso Cavite) things are done on a "hands-on approach" to enable students to comprehend easily on the flow of the workshop.

You are right on using different kinds of antibiotics in their flushing program..... to avoid certain diseases from being resistant to the drug that was frequently given while they were young.

benhur
Antibiotics like: Tetracyclines, Cephalexin, Doxycyclines.

Doc Teddy,

In as much that you mentioned the word "resistance" , the most common cause of resistance is UNDERDOSING. Flushing is just like Prophylaxis you only give small amounts .Can you comment on this doctor.

Re: antibacterial flushing during the keep...

You got it right!!! Drugs used for flushing should be given as a "single dose and underdosed".

Yes you are right but it is just a bacterial flushing so you dont need to admister it for more than a day. When you underdose a sick chicken, then that will result to resistance by bacteria. That is why we do bacterial flushing on healthy chicken only.

Re: antibacterial flushing during the keep...

doc teddy, what's wrong with our hen....weight loss, droppings is like dark brown and wet. we tried de-worming and bacterial flushing but after 2 days hen still stick with the same symptoms. we gave them one capsule amoxicillin every other day for only 2 days.

many thanks! God bless you!

fyi....my brother in law (emil fernandez) and cousin (ronnie) attended one of your tjt academy and if i'm not mistaken they belong to batch 9. so far everything is ok and really learned a lot from you. he's been constantly winning in hackfights (80% winning) and at the same time gaining more experience to prepare himself for his first derby fight.

Presuming that the weather is okey, you may do your bacterial flushing once every 2 months. But if you experience constant rain and storms, then I recommend that you do your bacterial flushing once a month.
