Pale face problem
Dr. Ted:
Got a problem with my cock "too pale", he has this problem after he molted last year and to date no matter how we give him the necessary vitamin support, b12's inj., iron caps. , given him daily drops pure RAW honey but with no avail, I'm in the brink of throwing my towel in the center of the ring..... looks like anemic or meron jaundice cause often his face turns yellowish...he eats fine but the thing is his paleness is unacceptable and his quite weak...what do you think is his problem? hope you can give some inputs about this problem before i cull him into "adobo"...thanks! Re: Pale face problem
Just passing by...
I have a previous experience of this kind of problem...My stag was dead, he didn't survived... when I open his gizzard, I found out that there is a big rubber stock on his Gizzard... |

I suspect that your rooster had a "Malabsorption Problem" before he moulted (not conclusive). He could have suffered from a bacterial disease that was not totally arrested and this caused the liver to deteriorate. The signs of Malabsorption Syndrome are weakness, loss of skin pigmentation (pale bird syndrome), poor digestion leading to extreme weight loss and SEVERE ANEMIA.
Here are some tips to prevent this from happening:

Re: Pale face problem
You made the right MOVE Amigo......... You have to be practical nowadays.
A Necropsy (autopsy) should have been done to identify the cause. Last edited by tjtcokngacademy : May 3rd, 2007 at 12:17 PM. |
