Translation: Good morning Mr. Araneta 1. What is the difference between the American Mahogany breed and the local Lemon breed? 2. What is the difference between the Mahogany Brownred and the darklegged lemon (blue, green leg)? 3. What is the percentage of Peacomb vs. Straightcomb in the offsprings? 4. Can you confirm that the green-legged and the yellow-legged lemon are two different lines? Isn't it that in a set strain the offspring should be exact xerox copies of each other? 5. Would you know how many percent turn out to be manfighters? 6. What line does a throwback produce? ( ed. (?) ) 7. What crosses well with a lemon? 8. If you line breed, will there be a higher female hatch rate? 9. What is the station and fighting style of a pure lemon? 10. Is the medium stationed lemon the better one? What's the difference in the fighting style of the medium station vs. the high station? Thank you for taking the time to read my questions and more power to you! |

Re: Lemon84
raptortiger,
1. completely different 2. again, very different. the dark leg in the lemons come from the Hatch blood. 3. about 60% st. comb; 40% pea comb. 4. when we breed chickens, we try to perpetuate the good traits when we see them; g/l or y/l or whtever color. 5. with proper handling, almost none. 6. original lemons came y/l. linebreeding and inbreeding produced some g/l, a throwback of the Hatch blood. 7. Hatch or Butcher. 8.if you breed thru the years they average 50/50. 9. medium to medium high station. evade blows, counter punch. 10. i prefer the mediun station. but the few hi-station ones ***** the same way. |
