Cf Global Derby....where's The Credibility?

Is there a GENTLEMAN who can explain to me what happened to my 3rd fight?

75grams is much too big to be considered as a bad weight. In all the cockpits that I've been, one has to change cock and has to pay the penalty. Why was this not imposed on my opponent?

I'm very much DISGUSTED with what happened to me. My brother (my handler) & my wife are both disgusted, as well.

RULES ARE RULES, AND THEY MUST BE FOLLOWED!! Is there supposed to be an exemption to the rule?

Worse still, SOMEONE offered a very small amount of money to my brother just to keep the 3rd fight going. WE DO NOT WANT YOUR MONEY, WE WANT RULES TO BE IMPLEMENTED!

GANYAN LANG BA KALIIT TINGIN NYO SA AMIN?

PA-RESPETO NAMAN KAYO!!!!!

Rules............

Sorry to hear about your unfortunate experience. I am sure it will be explained and resolved in due time.

My apologies to everyone concerned if I jumped the gun, so to speak.

You have the right not pursue the fight since it is a clear violation of the rule. But once the fight was let go, then you have in effect waive that right, I supposed.

Was the 75 grams the difference between the two cocks or really 75 grams over the weight limit? Sometimes one cock reaches the maximum allowed weight and the other cock lost weight resulting in a big weight difference.

Teddy,

I wish I could be the one to explain, but I dont know enough about the incident to offer one. I'm sure there is a plausible explanation out there.

It was a great event, we surpassed the achievements last year. A lot of effort from a lot of people most of whom worked non-stop, no sleep... just so we can carry this out.

I just hope that the achievements that the CFs attained through this derby will not be overshadowed by this incident.

Bad Weight

teddysarad,

I've talked to Anthony (your bro) and told me what happened.

Yes, your opponent was penalized. I thought penalty payment was made before the fight.

75 grams difference could happen if your cock's declared weight dropped and your opponent's declared weight rose to the allowable maximum weight for bad weights without changing the cock.

Let's hear some more people who knew what really happened.

Anyone?

Anthony and Soseng know what happened from their entry's side. What we should get is ASTRO's side, your opponent. Second hand info and emotional tirades will only confuse the issue.

This matter is a legitimate issue and will be looked into and resolved properly.

Teddy,
In your post, you emphasized the word "Gentleman". Well, I take strong exception to your PM to TBS, which he has forwarded to us. Your message, "Kapwa CF niyo ako, Tinarantado niyo " is not appropriate language for a gentleman. Its also misdirected. People have worked hard for these events, and w/o compensation. "Ganoon Kaliit", you say? Ask your brother if he had been badly treated or treated lightly in the GK and the GD by the people in charge of these events. We do not deserve your mura. . "Disgusted"? A lot of people here are more disgusted at the way you pursue your point.

Cool Down!!!!!!

Terry,

Met Soseng and Astro at the GK , both of them are fine gentlemen. Heard about the bad weight but I believe they were able to resolve it among themselves. Let both parties post what
happened.

The credibility of the GD was everywhere, if that is what you are looking for. It was a big success because of its "CREDIBILITY". And we should thank all the CF, specially Chili-sm for making it
possible.

We thought naayos na.

All I know eh naayos yan talaga.

Kasabay ko kasi si Soseng and Astro talking w/ TBS kasi I'm confirming my last fight w/ Astro too na umaga na naka schedule.

Sabi ko ke AStro dapat ituloy laban namin kasi hinhabol ko premyo ng 3 points so we agreed na tuloy nag laban maski umaga na naka schedule. Ok naman sa kanya.

issue

Patience at this time would be greatly appreciated. I personally am not aware ot the situation because i was not there. I was done early and i left when this incident occurred. I would just like to assure TEDDYSARAD that the incident you are referring to would be investigated and if there was any wrong, it would be corrected, guaranteed. I am personally guaranteeing this.

The only information that i have at this time is that your opponent was supposed to be ASTRO. We want to obtain Astro's side as well before we can resolve this.

I am calling on ASTRO to please post now so we can all resolve this in the shortest possible time.

Penalties are penalties, you are correct. If in case we find out that a penalty needs to be imposed, we will make sure it is.

I just hope that for this not to be blown out of proportion, we should just handle this more professionally. Sana wala na lang masasakit na salita na babawiin rin natin sa huli.

I have met everyone that participated. Masaya naman sa kabuuan. I hope ganoon na lang lagi.

The derby was a great success. Figures to follow but at this point, it is VERY SAFE to say that money generated is a lot more than we expected. More than the previous year. I am sure we would bring smiles to HDSJ, the charity of our choice.

Again, i thank everyone who participated. Ang pagod ng lahat ay di nasayang dahil mas marami ang matutulungan natin. Kahit pagod na pagod ako at 2 w 2L lang ang score ko eh masaya ako.

teddysarad,
the way i see it, you re asking for justice and help from the CF leaders and RESPECT but you just disrespected them in the process. Thats not the way to get any respect... you got to act deservingly first.
just my take on the matter, guys.

still waiting

I have been told that Astro is in Ilo ilo attending the candelaria Derby there. Hopefully when he is done there, this could be settled right away. Let us just wait for the response of Astro, after which, i am sure the solution to this delema will follow.

Look at all my posts.... I've always said this merits investigation and just resolution. As more of the facts are being verified, the more its clear. But No one can short-cut the process.

Look at your PMs to TBS... "tinarantado niyo", "di nyo kami mabo-bobo sa sabong"..... So offensive, so distrustful. To think that it wasnt even I nor TBS who was your opponent.

You wanted to post it here in this public forum. I seriously think it may have backfired on you.

Credibility of the Global Derby, you say? 55 Entries, 100 fights at almost 7 fights an hour. Bets of 6 figures squared off. No check payments , all cash to parada and prizes, 200T plus income, to benefit a worthy cause-Hospicio de San Jose, friendly atmosphere. Even your brother and Soseng were polite and mild mannered in the actual discussion. Lots of talking, sharing among Cfs and friends.

ONE incident in 100 fights ! Does it make the WHOLE Global Derby for charity not credible? Knowing the CFs, this matter is guaranteed to be justly settled pa ! Perhaps not immediately as you may have wished for . We do have to follow some orderly manner, after hearing both sides.

Thankless job, hosting the GD.

Cool Bad Weight Rule in SM

Chito,
First of all I want to commend you and all CF members who were involved in this great endevour for the children of Hospicio de San Jose. Surpassing last years outcome was truly outstanding.

I just want to ask you a favor to please post the exact pit rules on bad weight in San Mateo with an example on the declared weight vs actual weight. I think this will provide everybody who wants to come to your pit, an idea on how the mechanics work. I believe that there are a lot of people who are confused on how the system really works. Problems and confusion can be avoided in the future.

Thank you my friend and keep up the good work.

My friends let's not be hasty in our decisions and judgment. This is a CF internal affair so let us all make what it is, among CFs. I suggest we stop posting here and post in the CF private forum instead. Yes, many of us CFs wanted this issue to be resolved as much as possible, as early as possible and to the satisfaction of the parties involved as realistically possible.
I suggest we wait for Pre Astro to post his side of the story and we'll go from there.
Teddy, I met your Brod and he is a very nice, soft spoken person and probably you are too to quote an English term " of good breeding". I'd suggest you make recommendations as to what it is you wanted to be done to please you and make appropriate recommendations for all of us CFs to do in future derbies. Our derbies will be there for sure and we will meet some snags along the way but it is our CF team as a whole to clean up this snags.
Please give everybody half the chance and half the benefit of the doubt, this is all that it takes.

reading about this interesting but unfortunate incident, as a sabongero, i suggest everybody stay calm and cool, and everybody and both sides should listen to each other's side of the story.

there is just one interesting point i would like to interject.

teddysarad, did the complainant raised the issue, or the complaint, to the pit owner/promoter/management PRIOR to the fight?

in cockfighting, as well as in any other sport, you must raise the issue or lodged the complaint PRIOR to playing ball if its a discrepancy or a rule violation which could and should been addressed prior to the game. in basketball, you check the height of the goal, the measurements, etc., prior to the game. in baseball, you could not successfully complain that the fence has been moved after the home run has been scored by the other side. such complaint should have been raised PRIOR to the game.

in gambling or any sporting event, one must take care of one's self, especially when you see and know that something is wrong that could and should have been addressed and resolved prior to the game. dont rely on others to do it for you. after all, this is not a perfect world.

as a gentleman and a sabongero, one should not cry foul about something, even a discrepancy or a rule violation, after the event, when such problem could and should have been addressed prior to the game.

imho, the cf global derby, the pit owner, the derby event, and its honorable and noble cause, was quite totally and completely credible, and was quite clean, fair, and honest. i commend chito and the organizers/promoters for such a wonderful and exciting event. keep up the good works.

timbangan/ulutan na.

or computer matching na.

cheers to all. from yap.

Yap

sa pagkakaalam ko ( kasi umuwi na ako). Di natuloy ang laban nila. Walang laban na nangyari na overweight ng ganoon kalaki. I think what Teddy is complaining about is yung fact na di natuloy ang laban nila kasi nga na bad weight ang kabilang party.

My side to the issue raised.

Hello to all Concerned:

Ngayon lang ako naka log in sa net. Just arrived an hour ago from Bacolod/Ilolilo.

About the issue raised about overweight of my third fight. I was informed by my Handler that the cock for the third fight is 75grams more as against the opponent. So I was surprised why it was so, I have invertigated why it was so and I found out that the cock my Handler had pick-up for weighing was not the right cock for the third fight. And, I informed the Brother of Teddy in the presence of Soseng that, my Handler made a mistake in the sense, that the correct cock is just 5grams lesser than his cock. However, the Brod Teddy was not accepting and he insist that I pay immediately the 5,000pesos penalty. I told him that it is not fair because the right cock for the third fight is there and available and I told him in the presence of Soseng that I will consult first the Management if I have to pay the 5,000pesos penalty. So,I presented the problem to TBS and Chili_SM. I understand TBS and Chili_SM had spoken to the Brother of Teddy and I supposed it was all settled and I was informed that the 3rd fight was cancelled.

Teddy, I hope you understand my situation. If I was not able to present the right cock at the right time, then I will have to pay the 5,000pesos penalty right away. However, due the circumtance that the cock was there, that is why I asked the opinion of the Management whether it is fair for me to pay the penalty for my case as presented. In the sense that the cocks were not banded for fight sequence as the list of cocks submitted is not the same sequence of the actual fight.

Teddy may I request your understanding and Sorry for the inconviences made by this issue.

Astro, Natuloy ba yung laban ng manok na may bad weight ke Teddy at kung oo , Bakit?- Despite your attempts to inform the management na available yung right cock? Just curious...

Mga Kaibigang CF's,

I beg your indulgence. We are not going resolve this issue here. We can post comments and suggestions all day and all night but we will not be able to resolve the issue here. Let’s put a stop to this. But definitely, the issues are so important we cannot afford not to find resolutions to these conflicts.

On Thursday, Feb. 4 , at 7 pm, we have scheduled a Kitakits at the Croco Grill, Jupiter st. Makati and I would like to invite Astro, Soseng and Anthony to be present during this get together. I wish Teddy was here to meet in person the people he thought were insensitive and didn’t give him the right treatment. The rest of the other parties consulted and involved in making suggestions to resolve the issue then will be present during this very important Kitakits. Let us gather all the facts and once for all, arrive at a resolution to this case.

It is sad to note that the overwhelming success of the recent GD have to be clouded with misunderstandings like these. We definitely don’t want to spoil our fun and excitement resulting from the unprecedented success of our recent derby. And, we have yet to commend Chito, Al, Joel, Bubut, Roy and the rest of the CF's and non-CF's who worked so hard to ensure the success of the derby. The children at Hospicio de San Jose will be all smiles when they see the fat check that will soon be delivered to them.

Cheers my friends. The best is yet to come.
